Our Approach
Each treatment is created with the client in mind, so that the service aligns with the client’s needs for the session. Whether those needs are treatment focused or for general relaxation.
It is important to me that each client experience a
safe and calm experience; where their body can rest and heal. We’ll communicate prior to your
treatment so that there is a shared understanding and expectation. The assessment will help me as your therapist to create an effective treatment plan for your condition or symptoms.
The massage itself may be gentle in nature with a focus on nervous system regulation to reduce pain, or deeper tissue techniques designed to break up adhesions and scar tissue to increase range of motion post-surgery.
Each client is encouraged throughout to communicate if there is discomfort/pain. My intention is to create a space where the body is nurtured and able to find balance through massage therapy. Reducing both pain and stress to leave the session feeling lighter.

Frequently Asked Questions
Where are you located?
My practice is located in Mountain Home Yoga, at #1 503 7th Ave in Invermere, BC. If you are familiar with the area, it is just past Sobey’s through the traffic lights in the same building as Kimberley Rae Photography and the laundromat.
What is your cancellation policy?
I require 24 hours notice for cancellations, or the full cost of the service will be charged. A service that is not rendered cannot be billed through insurance. It is unlikely that in a short time frame another client can book in for services, which results in a missed appointment in my schedule.
Do you direct bill?
Yes, although this is dependant on your insurance provider. Each plan is different and it is an individualized process.
What is the best length of time for a massage?
This depends on whether you have experienced massage in the past, or if you are new to massage. I recommend 60 minutes for your first massage.
- 60 minutes is the most appropriate length of time to focus on 1 – 2 areas, as well as
incorporate some relaxation. - 45 minutes is recommended if you have one area of focus.
- 90 minutes if you would like full body massage focusing on several areas of
discomfort or pain.
Does massage hurt?
Generally some discomfort can be felt, but I will check in with you to better gauge pressure/pain tolerance. Massage is most effective when you can breath through the discomfort without pulling away from the pressure. If you find yourself holding your breath or pulling away, please communicate with your therapist. It is important that your massage is custom tailored to you.
