It’s me, Ruth!
massage therapist, YOGI & FRIEND
I decided to become a massage therapist after a motor vehicle accident resulted in whiplash. I personally found massage to be a very effective form of therapy, and I wanted to be able to help others through this modality.
I graduated from Okanagan Valley College of Massage Therapy in 2016.
As a Registered Massage Therapist, I have worked in several different environments including; ski lodges, spas, multidisciplinary clinics and private practice. I began my private practice in Invermere under the name Back to Health Registered Massage Therapy which she ran for two years before moving to the lower mainland. While residing on the west coast, I worked at the Vancouver College of Massage Therapy mentoring students in the practicum program as well as at Grant Street Wellness.
Fortunately, life brought me back to the valley! I look forward to reuniting with past clients and serving new clients in my practice. I will create an individualized treatment plan with you to assist in your wellness journey.
I value continuous improvement and education to increase the effectiveness of my treatments, and I have taken courses in Osteopathic techniques, Cranial-Fascial Therapy, and Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization (IASTM). The individualized treatments offered include a combination of breath work, osteopathic techniques, cranial-sacral techniques, myofascial release techniques, IASTM and trigger point therapy.
In my spare time, I enjoy paddle boarding, biking, hiking, camping, practicing yoga, and lounging in my hammock.
